Certification: Service Truck Crane Operator

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), Service Truck Crane Operator (STC) certification validates a crane operator's skills. Service truck cranes are a subcategory of the Telescopic Boom-Fixed Cab (TSS) certification and typically have shorter boom lengths and lower capacities and functions are typically accomplished via a winch. The Telescopic Boom Fixed Cab Operator (TSS) and Boom Truck Fixed Cab (BTF) certifications cover service truck cranes. Service Truck Crane Operators who currently hold a TSS or BTF certification are not required to also hold the Service Truck Crane Operator certification. Other candidates must pass a written and a practical exam.
