A journey-level Commercial Carpenter will have a
general knowledge and understanding of the following:
print reading including an awareness of allied trades,
basic construction math, and estimating and preparing
takeoffs; layout including site and building control;
framing wood, steel (non-welded) and interior/exterior
finishes; concrete formwork including
ironworking/reinforcing steel and placing concrete;
tenant finish out including doors/frames/hardware,
cabinets, and trim; safety.
