It is recommended that the technologist has successfully completed a two-year college program in END technology or an equivalent of two years of college level classes in math, basic biology, anatomy, physiology and English. It is recommended that one have at least six months of experience involving both practical training in Nerve Conduction Studies and theory directly related to Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS). This training should involve both hands-on and theory directly relating to performing NCS, under the direction of a physician or registered technologist (R.NCS.T.). It is recommended that the training physician be an active member of the AANEM or board certified by the ABPN and/or ABEM.
