The Traffic Signal Operations Specialist (TSOS) certification program is designed for candidates who have a wide range of education and experience with traffic signals, including engineers and technicians/technologists. The TSOS certification examination will include an assessment of knowledge in the areas of: Principles of Signals and Signal Systems, Elements of Signal Design and Implementation, Signal Timing, Signal Operations and Safety Reviews.
