The Certified Compliance Technician (CCT) exam is intended to meet employers' annual compliance training requirements and to support individuals with professional compliance responsibilities.

You can use your CCT Certification towards satisfying Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Requirements.

In today's healthcare industry, compliance is of the utmost importance. Regardless of what role you have in today's healthcare environment, understanding and educating yourself and your staff about compliance is a necessity. AAHAM began a proactive approach to compliance in 2007.

The compliance exam covers such topics as Fraud and Abuse, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, HIPAA, Administrative Sanctions, RACs, etc. Upon successful completion of the exam, the applicant will become a Certified Compliance Technician (CCT).

  2. The certification has an education level of an Associates of Arts or Associates of Sciences degree or higher, but has a work experience requirement of less than 2 years of work experience.
  3. The certification has a work experience requirement of more than 2 years but does not require a two-year Associates of Arts or Associates of Sciences degree.
