An individual who conducts private investigations to locate missing persons, obtains confidential information, and prevents or solves crimes. Private investigators conduct surveillance, background investigations, and may provide bodyguard services.<br><br><b>Chapter 493, Florida Statutes. <br><br>Educational Requirements:</b><br>Two years of lawfully gained, verifiable, full-time experience or training in one or a combination of more than one of the following: Private investigative work; college course work related to criminal justice, criminology, or law enforcement; or work as a class "CC" licensed intern.
