License: Behavior Analyst

DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: A Behavior Analyst counsels and advises individuals with alcohol, tobacco, drug, or other behavior problems, such as gambling and eating disorders. May counsel individuals, families, or groups or engage in prevention programs. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Personal requirements: Be 18 years old and a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or alien authorized to work in the U.S. Education and Experience requirements: Maintain active status with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a board certified behavior analyst or board certified behavior analyst-doctoral. EXAMINATIONS: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam. FEES: In 2022, pay $260 (application $50, license $50, compliance resolution fund $100, 1/2 renewal $60). In 2023, pay $150 (application $50, license $50, compliance resolution fund $50). OTHER: There were 365 licenses currently active as of February 24, 2022. ~ revised 09/20
