License: Barber Instructor

INDIANA CODE _x0015_ 25-8-6.4 Chapter 6.4. Barber Instructor Licenses Sec. 1. The board may license a person to be an instructor. Sec. 2. A person must file a verified application with the board on a form prescribed by the board to obtain an instructor license. Sec. 3. The application described in section 2 of this chapter must state that the applicant: (1) holds a barber license issued under this article; (2) has graduated from high school or received a high school equivalency certificate; (3) has successfully completed at least nine hundred (900) hours of instruction in the theory and practice of instructor training as a student in a barber school; (4) has received a satisfactory grade of at least seventy-five percent (75%) on an examination for instructor license applicants prescribed by the board; and (5) has paid the fee set forth in IC 25-8-13 for the issuance of a license under this chapter. Sec. 4. (a) If a person does not receive a satisfactory grade on the examination described in IC 25-8-4-7, the person may repeat the examination subject to the rules governing the examination adopted by the board. (b) If a person does not receive a satisfactory grade on the examination described in subsection (a), the board may: (1) refuse to permit the person to take the examination again; or (2) permit the person to take the examination again subject to the rules governing the examination adopted by the board.
