License: Certified Public Accountant, Licensed

An applicant for a Michigan Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License must complete 150 semester-hours of college education, including a Bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration in Accounting. Upon meeting this requirement, the required CPA exam must be taken and passed. Finally, after 2,000 hours of qualifying experience has been attained, a licensing application can be submitted along with a $300 application fee to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
