License: Lead Abatement Inspector

To receive a Lead Abatement Inspector certification, an applicant must first have a high school diploma or equivalent level of education and taken and passed a lead training course from one of the approved providers. After meeting these requirements, a Certified Lead Professional application should be submitted to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services along with the initial fee ($175 to $250). Finally, the state exam must be taken within 6 months of successfully passing the training course.
