<h3>Occupational Description</h3><br>Physical Therapists provide physical therapy treatments. The practice of physical therapy includes the use of exercises and other treatments to: Restore physical function; Promote fitness & health; Reduce the risk of injuries.<br><h3>Licensure Requirements</h3><br>Applicants must: 1. Have reached the age of majority; 2. Have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program (if training as a physical therapist was in a foreign country, the applicant must have completed a program of professional instruction that is substantially equivalent to an approved education program); 3. Have passed the licensure examinations; 4. Be either a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted into the United States who is eligible for a credential under the Uniform Credentialing Act, or a nonimmigrant who is lawfully present in the United States and who is eligible for a credential under the Uniform Credentialing Act.<br><h3>Fees</h3><br>Initial License Fee- $133.00<br><h3>Renewal</h3><br>Renewal is required biennially by November 1 of odd-numbered years. The renewal fee is $133.00. Twenty hours of continuing education are required to qualify for renewal. Licensees must also pass the Nebraska Law Tutorial with a score of 100% prior to renewal.
