License: Pest Control Applicator - Principal

Major fields of pest control are aerial, agricultural-ground, and urban-structural. Specific categories of pest control are included with each major field of pest control. Individuals applying for licensure as company principals must: 1a) Have 2 years of documented pesticide application or pest control experience in the category(ies) applied for; or 1b) Have a combination of 6 months of documented pesticide application or pest control experience in the category(ies) applied for and 16 college credit hours in biological science (at least 8 hours must be directly related to the field of pest control applied for.) 2) Pass the appropriate examinations. Note: Primary principals must also submit fingerprints for a background check. Contact the Department of Agriculture for information on training sessions, the exam or appointments. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: examination--$25/exam; initial pest control licensing--$50; annual pest control license renewal--$50.
