CERTIFIED PUBLIC WEIGHERS<br><br>Certified Public Weighers accurately weigh natural resource products, i.e. crushed stone, sand, gravel, cement, and asphalt related to highway construction and /or other construction projects or construction purposes, so long as such materials are produced at a central location for commercial or highway use, and are measured by ton, cubic yard, or metric weights.<br><br>PROSPECTIVE:<br>Every producer and supplier of natural resource products shall have in it employ at least one (1) or more certified public weigher. All natural resources products sold by such producer and supplier shall be accurately weighed or measured by a certified public weigher. <br><br>REQUIREMENTS:<br>Must have the ability to weigh accurately and maintain correct weight or measurement records; be a citizen of the United States and not less than eighteen (18) years of age; applicant must obtain and maintain during the licensing period a bond in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5000) with surety by a corporate bonding company authorized to do business in this state. Certification authority is authorized to administer a written examination of applicant's knowledge.<br><br>RENEWAL:<br>Required every two (2) years.
