Coordination of the various functions and activities necessary for day-to-day operation of a nursing facility. They oversee the nursing staff, food service operations, and general management of the home. The administrator develops and implements policies and procedures that are in compliance with federal and state requirements. They are also responsible for compiling and analyzing reports of operational statistics for official records. Nursing facility administrators may supervise an internship in conjunction with the administrator-in-training program.
