The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Flight Instructor Certificate provides a commercial or airline transport pilot the privilege to teach students how to fly an aircraft. Flight Instructors are responsible for providing in-flight training to students which includes how to safely and effectively operate an aircraft. Candidates must meet prerequisite and training requirements. Candidates must pass a written and practical exam.
