The primary duty of an electrocardiogram technician (EKG Technician) is to perform electrocardiograms on patients. Other important tasks include, obtaining patient history, taking vital sign measurements, performing Holter monitoring and stress tests, editing test results, ensuring physicians receive the final edited results, scheduling appointments, and recording physician's interpretations.
