A Sanitarian must hold the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Registered Sanitarian (REHS/RS) credential, or complete a bachelor's degree in an environmental health field and two years of work experience in an environmental health field, or complete a master's or doctoral degree in an environmental health related field and one year of work experience in an environmental health field. All candidates must pass the NEHA REHS/RS Examination and pay the fee of $80.80.
