Section 508 Standards
The O*NET Program is dedicated to making our websites, documents, and multimedia as usable as possible for all abilities and needs. We are guided by the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 external site at the AA level.
Our focus is on creating a digital experience that welcomes and supports all users, including those who rely on assistive technologies, and to ensure our websites and other materials are easy to understand for all levels of experience, knowledge, or language skills. We regularly review our websites and materials and are making enhancements to provide a more equitable and intuitive experience for everyone, guided by both standards and universal design principles.
Documents
The documents on our sites come in various formats, and we are working to make them available to as wide of an audience as possible for people, including those who use screen reading software and those with other vision or mobility impairments. Our websites primarily contain documents in Adobe Acrobat PDF file format and Microsoft Excel. If you don’t have these programs, you can usually download free plug-ins or file viewers online. Please do so at your own discretion and ensure you are downloading from a reputable source.
Videos
The O*NET Program is committed to making our video content available to as wide of an audience as possible. Our videos include closed captions and transcripts.
Web browsers
The O*NET Program strives to support a range of modern web browsers, including the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, and Edge. For mobile devices, we currently support Chrome and Safari.
If you are using an unsupported browser or mobile device, you may find that some features do not function, or an application does not load. As an alternative, you may download one of the supported browsers to enjoy our sites to the fullest.
We’d love to hear from you!
